Judge Margaret Jackson Sorrell has proudly served as the Probate Judge of Clarendon County since 2017, bringing a lifelong passion for law, history, and community service to the bench. A Manning native, she holds a degree in Political Science from the College of Charleston and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina. Prior to her election, she gained hands-on experience in the Probate Court as both a clerk and Deputy Judge. Deeply rooted in Clarendon County, Judge Sorrell is active in numerous civic and historical organizations and is known for her dedication to preserving local heritage. She and her husband, Rev. Michael Sorrell, reside in the Jordan Community and enjoy spending time with their two sons and granddaughter.
